Frequently Asked Questions

Visit our Schedule Exam page and select your exam provider from the dropdown. Each provider has its own scheduling process:

• Pearson VUE, PSI, Kryterion, HiSet, PAN, Scantron/Castle — Schedule directly through the provider's website. They handle scheduling and exam fees.
• CLEP, DSST, Certiport, ACT WorkKeys, NCCT, Public Safety Testing, Proctor Services, WGU — Schedule through our online booking system and pay the proctoring fee at checkout.

It depends on the exam provider. There may be two fees:

• Exam Fee — Paid to the exam provider (Pearson VUE, Certiport, CLEP, etc.). This varies by exam.
• Proctoring Fee — Paid to AcuSkill for general proctoring services: $25 for the first hour, then $10 per additional hour.

The proctoring fee is not charged for providers that handle their own scheduling and fees, such as Pearson VUE, PSI, PAN, and Kryterion. Whether a proctoring fee applies depends on the exam provider — select your provider on the Schedule Exam page for details.

For exams booked through AcuSkill's scheduling system:

• You may reschedule through the online scheduling system up to 48 hours before your exam.
• Rescheduling less than 48 hours before your exam is subject to forfeiture of the proctoring fee.
• AcuSkill does not allow cancellations. When you schedule, that seat is fully reserved for you and removed from availability for other candidates.
• Proctoring fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for no-shows.

For exams booked through the provider (Pearson VUE, PSI, etc.):

• Contact the provider directly. Each has their own reschedule and cancellation policies.

Proctoring fees are paid via PayPal during the online checkout process when you book through our scheduling system. If the proctoring fee is not paid during checkout, your seat is not reserved.

You must bring two forms of identification:

Primary ID (required)

A valid, non-expired, government-issued ID with your photo, full name, and signature:

• Driver's License or State ID
• Military ID
• Passport
• National ID card
• Tribal ID card
• Permanent Resident card (Green Card)

Supplemental ID (required)

A valid, non-expired secondary ID:

• Any government-issued photo ID (different from primary)
• Military CAC or DoD CAC
• Student ID card
• Credit card (may not be accepted for some exams)

It depends on your exam provider:

• Certiport — Your Certiport username, password, and exam voucher number.
• CLEP — A valid CLEP Registration Ticket from the My Account portal. DANTES-funded candidates need their CAC or military spouse ID.
• DSST — Non-DANTES funded candidates must bring a debit/credit card to pay the exam fee at the computer. DANTES-funded candidates need their CAC or military spouse ID.
• ACT WorkKeys — Your WorkKeys/National Career Readiness login. We provide calculators and formula sheets.
• WGU — Your WGU Student ID, WGU email, and any exam-specific items listed in your confirmation.
• Pearson VUE, PSI, Kryterion, PAN — Check the confirmation email from your provider for any specific requirements.

Do not bring anything beyond your required IDs and exam-specific items. The following are prohibited in the testing rooms:

We will provide pens, pencils, and calculators if authorized by the exam sponsor. Do not bring large backpacks or bags — our lockers cannot hold them.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled exam time. Here's what happens if you're late:

• 15-30 minutes late (and your exam won't run past business hours) — You may test but could wait for a station.
• 30+ minutes late — You will not be allowed to test. Marked as a no-show. Fees forfeited.
• Any amount late + exam extends past business hours — You will not be allowed to test.
• No-show — You must reschedule and pay again. No refunds.

1. Check in at the reception desk with your two forms of ID.
2. Store all personal items in a secure locker (we provide the key).
3. A proctor will escort you to your assigned testing station.
4. Complete your exam. Raise your hand if you need proctor assistance.
5. Retrieve your items from the locker and check out.

Yes. Our facility has an ADA-accessible entrance and a special needs testing station equipped with voice and video capability. If you require accommodations, please contact us in advance so we can ensure everything is ready for you.

• Dedicated camera per station — Every testing station has its own surveillance camera.

• All testing stations, keyboards, mice, pens, locker keys, and surfaces are sanitized after each use.
• A water cooler is available in the waiting room.
